Three teams will represent Vietnam in the upcoming online tournament Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) 2020: Asia scheduled for November 22-29.
The Arena of Survival Winter 2020, a regional tournament for mobile game Free Fire, concluded Sunday with esport team HEAVY taking home the championship title with 168 points and 27 kills.
According to the tournament format, the recent victory helped HEAVY advance straight to the FFCS grand finals on November 29, joining six top teams from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Taiwan and Thailand.
Vietnam’s V Gaming and Burst The Sky, second and third rank teams in the Arena of Survival Winter, will go head to head with 10 other qualifiers in the play-in rounds starting November 22. Only the top five teams will be selected.
The final 12 teams will compete to bring home the $300,000 cash prize.
Singapore-based publisher Garena previously said the flagship international series for this year was a replacement for Free Fire World Series.
Free Fire is an online multi-shooter game, consisting of up to 50 participants who parachute onto an island, trying their best to eliminate one another.
